New Mold Release Agent Designed for Polyurethane Automotive Filters
A new mold release agent specifically designed for OEM and aftermarket automotive filters is now available from Huron Technologies Inc. of Leslie, MI. Release Coating 7510 was formulated to give excellent performance when used in air filter applications. The quality of the release is key to producing defect free parts, minimizing scrap and thus improving productivity. Release Coating 7510 can be used on a wide range of filter applications including standard automotive panel filters, conical filters used in heavy duty trucks and filters for off road vehicles. The high solids content of the product means Release Coating 7510 can be used at very low consumption rates and still release easily. The ease of release preserves the bond produced as the polyurethane cures onto the metal screen and woven paper portion of the filter.
