Huron Technologies Announces 20 New Products in 2007
Clarke Borgeson, President of Huron Technologies recently announced, "customer needs drove the development of over 20 new mold release products in 2007 by our laboratory chemists. Each product was custom designed and validated to solve a specific customer molding problem."
Issues that customers successfully addressed with Huron's new products included:
- Shorter dry times for parts produced using two different line configurations
- Better color dispersion for automotive trim parts
- Revised release requirements from a new foam system
- Environmental regulatory requirements triggering new water based release agents
- Variations in operating conditions prompting development of a more robust release
Additionally, Huron Technologies partnered with a key automotive supplier to deliver a new release agent capable of servicing multiple manufacturing processes at the facility. Using one product, rather than multiple release agents from different vendors, helped to streamline the supplier's purchasing, shipping, storage and training functions. Borgeson also commented, "Clients tell us they succeed when we translate their requirements into an effective release product and that product is delivered with the support they needed to quickly bring the release into production."
